Sally Bane among North Texas’ most influential Business Women

Sally Bane, the City of Plano’s Executive Director of Economic Development, has been named one of the Dallas Business Journal’s Women in Business honorees. Judges selected 24 honorees from 299 entries.

Bane earned her Bachelors degree in Business Administration from University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1981.

Award:

The Dallas Business Journal’s ninth annual Women in Business Awards will honor the North Texas’ most influential business women. The awards honor those who have made a difference in their workplace and left a mark on their communities. The Women in Business Awards will be held on August 22 at the Irving Convention Center.

Recognized for Work:
Bane leads Plano’s economic development team. In the last ten years, her team has been involved in more than 117 relocation and expansion projects resulting in $2 billion in tax base improvements and over 33,000 jobs associated with companies such as: Toyota Motor North America, FedEx Office & Print Services, Liberty Mutual Insurance, JPMorgan Chase, Capital One Auto Finance, Cigna, Ericsson, USAA, Tektronix, and Pizza Hut U.S./Pizza Hut and KFC Global.
