Plano Rotary Club presented $20,000 to the Plano ISD Education Foundation as part of its $100,000 pledge to the Academy Programs of Plano. The funding will benefit the Plano ISD Health Sciences Academy, an academic program of choice which prepares students for a four-year university, pre-med program or healthcare career certification. This program is housed at Williams High School and Plano East Senior High School.

Toyota North America, United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, Bank of America, Barbara Bush Foundation, Huawei, Park Place Lexus Plano and Southwest Airlines and more.
The Plano ISD Education Foundation was formed in 1993 to help Plano schools maintain the highest standards of academic excellence. In early years, the Foundation served as a community advisory board to the school district’s leadership. The Grants to Educators program was created to reach out and support the needs of classroom teachers. It is guided by a board of thirty-three directors, raising more than $1 million annually to help Plano schools remain the best in the nation. Donations to the Plano ISD Education Foundation stay in Plano ISD and address priority programs identified by the school district for which tax dollars are not available.
