The library will be transitioning from Overdrive as a provider for eBooks and eAudio during the coming weeks. eBook content will be transferred to the 3M Cloud Library, and eAudio content to the OneClickdigital Library, where, in addition to their current titles, there will also be a selection of 200 popular titles available for simultaneous use by unlimited users -meaning there will not be a wait-list for these books.

Apps for 3M Cloud Library and OneClickdigital are available on iTunes and Google Play. For information on these new providers and the McKinney Public Library System, please visit the Library website.

Earlier this year, the City of McKinney announced Spencer Smith as the new Director of the McKinney Public Library System. Smith began in August. He most recently served as the Library Director for the City of Little Elm, Texas where his leadership led to the significant increase of library material circulation and also an increase in hours of library operation to a seven day, sixty hour per week. He also led the renovation and expansion of the municipal library.
