Mckinney ISD Teachers of the year Megan Whittaker and Carol Winters (both pictured above) get cars for a year.
The cars are being provided by El Dorado Chevy Mazda of McKinney that teachers will be able to drive free of charge for a year.
El Dorado has been a strong supporter of the district for some time. In 2011, when the FFA program needed a truck to haul projects to livestock shows, El Dorado donated a brand new Chevy Silverado One-Ton HD Crew Cab.
The dealership sponsors the Teacher of the Month recognition on 97.5 KLAK as well as the radio station’s end of the year banquet which honors the teachers spotlighted throughout the year. And, in 2015, they launched this Teacher of the Year vehicle program as another opportunity to give back.
