Plano based provider of real-time communications solutions Genband demonstrated its geo-distributed Virtual Network Functions (VNF) for the service provider cloud on SDX Central’s Demo. Event was held on Friday June 24, along with its ecosystem partners Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and Intel.
Genband’s media solution consists of voice and video transcoding capabilities, allowing CSPs to scale control and bearer plane VNFs with elasticity for optimal Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) deployments in cloud environments.
Genband’s VNF functions use the both open-source software environments and Intel architecture. John McCready is the EVP for their Product and Corporate Development.
