Several Frisco ISD middle and high school students presented their bright ideas for new products or services before a panel of investors supporting Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!), an educational program sponsored by the Frisco Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Frisco ISD. The Chamber works with educators, business leaders and many others to promote a spirit of entrepreneurship and help students launch their own real businesses. This year, investors provided $8,000 to be divided among the student winners. The top honor this year was awarded to 16-year-old Bethani DeMaria, a junior at Frisco High School. DeMaria presented her idea for including a hand wipe with packaging for messy snacks such as Nacho Cheese Doritos. She will represent Frisco YEA! at the regional competition as well.
