A few years back, Blue Star Land, the development company owned by Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, bought almost 1,000 acres on the planned Dallas North Tollway route in Collin and Denton counties for a residential and commercial development.  Blue Star Land and the Jones family have been involved in buying property in Prosper since 1990s.
With the latest acquisition, Blue Star gained prominent presence most of it along the west side of the Dallas North Tollway route.
Recently, Jones’ real estate company also broke ground on a major shopping center in the town north of Frisco on Preston Road. And now Jones’ Blue Star Land is ready to start work on a big 1800-home residential community on Prosper’s west side. This 1,000-acre masterplanned community named Star Trails will be located west of the Dallas North Tollway expansion along the First Street and the Prosper Trail.
