There was a time suburbs of DFW didn’t get much attention and people. Over last 10 years or so, north Texas cities have been featured nationally in different types of lists.
A relatively less known new tech startup Zippia has come out with yet another ranking for the region, this time it is ’10 Most Successful Cities In America’.
- Frisco, Texas
- Cary, North Carolina
- Naperville, Illinois
- Centennial, Colorado
- McKinney, Texas
- Alexandria, Virginia
- Overland Park, Kansas
- Plano, Texas
- Gilbert, Arizona
- Olathe, Kansas
Sorry Allen and other Collin County cities, you’d have to wait for your turn.
Their Methodology:
Median household income is the most digestible way to understand how wealthy a place really is. The unemployment rate tries to capture the prospects for more people to become rich. And finally, if more people are employed, the brighter (and more successful) that place’s future looks.
After collecting the data for all 289 places with more than 100,000 people in the USA (that aren’t CDPs), they ranked each place from 1 to 289 for each of the criteria, with 1 being the most successful.
Then averaged all the rankings for a place into a “Success Score” with the place having the lowest overall Success Score crowned the “Most Successful City in America.”
