Plano Texas based Tyler Technologies signed an agreement with ElectriCities of North Carolina, Inc. to be the recommended vendor to its membership for Tyler’s Incode® utility billing solution.
ElectriCities serves more than 70 municipalities in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia, all of which run electric systems that provide power to metered customers. ElectriCities has assisted many of its members’ transitions to advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) systems, modernizing the delivery of electric power; however, a number of small and mid-sized member cities knew their legacy utility billing solutions would not align with new AMI systems.
Recognizing the demand for a scalable, affordable billing solution to offer its members with 2,000 to 25,000 metered customers, ElectriCities contacted vendors that not only offered utility billing software, but also would be able to offer financial solutions to modernize older accounting and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems as needed.
After their due evaluation process that included ElectriCities leadership and representatives from seven member municipalities, they selected Tyler as the preferred vendor to recommend Incode to its membership as new utility billing software.
