District trustees agreed on Tuesday to adopt a maintenance and operations tax rate of $1.17, up from $1.04.
Frisco Independent School District (ISD) voters will decide at the polls in August 2016 whether or not to let a 13-cent property tax hike stand. If voters approve, the increase would take the district’s maintenance and operations tax rate from $1.04 per $100 valuation to $1.17, the maximum allowed by law. The district’s debt service rate, which is 42 cents per $100 valuation, would remain the same.
