Liquor Depot Express recently opened two stores in Allen TX.
Earlier this year, Allen joined city of Plano to approve the sale of all alcohol for off-premise consumption with about 61 percent of Allen voters turned out to ok the proposition to add spirits to the list of alcoholic beverages that can be sold in the city.
Previously, only beer and wine could be sold in stores.
It was Total Wine that began the push to allow liquor to be sold in Allen.
Tim Reeves with The Eppstein Group was hired by the Maryland-based chain to garner enough signatures from registered voters in Allen to call for the special election on Saturday.
