Frisco and Allen among Top 10 Cities with Highest Holiday Budgets

The personal finance website WalletHub conducted an in-depth analysis to determine 2015’s Holiday Budgets by City.

Black Friday sales totaled to approx. $10.4 billion in 2015 — with the online portion of which accounting for a record $4.45 billion — and more than a third of consumers exceeded their budgets for holiday spending,  WalletHub analysts used data from a number of sources, including partner TransUnion, to calculate the maximum holiday budgets for the consumers in each of 563 U.S. cities.

The top list features two cities namely Frisco (#3) and Allen (#7) – both within Collin County, Texas.

Cities with the Highest Holiday Budgets:

#3. Frisco, TX ($2,444)
#4. Sugar Land, TX ($2,422)
#5. Carmel, IN ($2,258)
#6. Ellicott City, MD ($2,227)
#7. Allen, TX ($2,186)
#8. Pearland, TX ($2,162)
#9. The Woodlands, TX ($2,158)
#10. League City, TX ($2,112)

Interestingly, there are 7 Texas cities featured in the Top Cities list, with 4 of them in Houston metroplex.
