The official grand opening of FedEx Office’s new headquarters was held on Wednesday, Oct. 28 in Plano with hundreds of guests invited to tour their beautiful new building. The new office is 265,000-square-foot corporate campus located in the Legacy Business Park.
In addition to comments by Mayor Harry LaRosiliere and FedEx CEO, Brian Philips, there was a special presentation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Collin County (BGCCC).
Philips announced a three year grant of $50,000 per year for the next three years to be used for expansion of mentoring and academic programs as well as providing volunteer opportunities for FedEx Office employees to help at Boys and Girls Clubs of Collin County facilities. On Thursday, Oct. 29 over 170 FedEx Office employees worked at the Plano Branch helping with improvements to the facility inside and out. The major project was updating the Technology Center with new flooring, painting walls, building computer cabinets and preparing for the installation of new computers. Volunteers also painted many other rooms, installed ceiling tiles, and worked outside the building putting in plants and landscaping.
The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Collin County is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.
