Collin McKinney was born on April 17, 1766, 250 years ago. On Saturday, April 16, the City of McKinney, the county seat of Collin County, hosted Collin’s 250th birthday party in Historic downtown McKinney – an ideal venue for the event. A lot of activities take place at the Collin County History Museum, Chestnut Square and in the green space adjacent to Chestnut Square – all within walking distance of the downtown square.Â
This Big Birthday Party (BBP) was a big family-friendly event celebrating county’s namesake, who was a Texas statesman and patriot.Â
