Berkshire Partners LLC – a Boston-based investment firm – has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire a majority interest in Masergy Communications, Inc.
Headquartered in Plano, Texas, Masergy is an independent managed services provider in the world, serving enterprise clients in over 75 countries. It offers hybrid networking, managed security and cloud communications solutions to medium and large enterprise customers.
Beth Hoffman is the Managing Director at Berkshire Partners. Chris MacFarland is the Chairman and CEO of Masergy.
Ropes & Gray LLP and Covington & Burling LLP provided legal counsel to Berkshire Partners. Evercore Partners, an investment banking advisory firm, served as the financial advisor to Masergy for this transaction.
