Each year the American Public Works Association (APWA) sponsors National Public Works week in order to recognize the significant contributions that Public Works Professionals make to their communities. Additionally, National Public Works Week gives public works staff an opportunity to meet with our citizens and inform them about important Public Works projects, programs and initiatives.
This year is the 56th annual Public Works Week that the APWA has sponsored and the City of Anna’s second annual event.
This year’s theme is “Always There” and highlights that Public Works professionals are always there for citizens, work hard, sometimes overnight or in inclement weather to ensure that the essential services we provide to our citizens are “always there”.
Join them at the Slayter Creek Park Pavilion on May 19th between 6 PM and 8 PM for this year’s event. They will be serving hot dogs and will have some of our new construction equipment onsite as well.
