Construction began in February on the upcoming Tech Center One in Allen. This is the first phase of an office cum warehouse complex at Greenville Avenue and Bethany Drive. Completion of the 38,000-square-foot the hybrid building is expected in August 2016. Two additional building phases are planned, for a total of 94,000 square feet.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the project took place on Thursday, Feb. 25. at 2 p.m.
This is one of the first office+warehouse combination in Allen. Such combinations are already available in other areas including Plano and Richardson even though they were built 10 to 15 years ago.
Tech Center One aims to target companies looking to relocate or consolidate their office and warehouse facilities and have a more modern and a better-designed footprint. According to Allen EDC Executive Director Dan Bowman, there is strong demand from those companies presently located in other cities, but whose executives live in Allen.
For JaRyCo Development, LLC, this will be the 10th project in Allen of Collin County Texas in the last 15 years.
